28 Feb – I am not moved!

i am not moved

There are times in life where we literally have to decide whether we are going to stand or lie down. Whether we are going to take hold of what God has said about our lives and circumstances or whether we will be moved by what we can see in the natural.

Smiths Wigglesworth a famous evangelist and preacher who saw amazing miracles of healing and salvations and whom God used to raise 14 people from the dead said, “I am not moved by what I see. I am not moved by what I feel. I am moved only by what I believe”. He chose to believe only what God said rather than the circumstances in front of him.

To be able to stand and to believe for the seemingly impossible like that we have to know what God’s will is because that is where faith and trust begins. Meaning we can only be moved by what God says rather than be moved by way we see in the natural and the circumstances around us. If we allow ourselves to be constantly swayed by what we see before us we will more often than not live in fear and doubt, being buffeted about by every fresh wave of opinion, hearsay and popular thought.

Instead God wants us to “feed our faith and starve our doubts” (Kenneth Hagin), and to stay out of getting bogged down in the details of how this or that is going to happen. The “how” of the details is God’s concern and if we meddle in them it usually only serves to feed our doubts and fear that what God has said is impossible. When God simply wants us to feed our faith by spending time with Him, by studying His word and His promises, and to then choose to trust, speak out and believe in what He has said. He and the angels take care of the rest.

We all get to choose – will I feed my doubts or feed my faith? Will I stand on what God has spoken or will I be moved and intimidated by what I can see in the natural realms?

Everyday we have to make that choice because when we invite Jesus into our life and choose to follow Him and His way of doing life we have before us the decision to either keep walking in the flesh and the world’s perspective or to walk in the spirit and the realms of the supernatural and God’s way of doing things. (Galatians 5:16-17)

Living God’s way (or walking in the Spirit) is completely opposite to walking in the natural. When we journey through life with Jesus He starts to show us things in the realms of heaven; we start to have supernatural things revealed to us; God’s will and purpose and His word open up to us, and what is written in our book in heaven.

Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Your book were all written the days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was not one of them.” (Psalm 139:16)

“Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven.” (Luke 10:20)

But if we don’t stand on what God says and reveals to us then all this doesn’t matter and won’t change or impact our lives. Our doubts and fears will override any revelation, belief or trust in God and more often than not what He wants to do in and through our lives.

Smith Wigglesworth said, – “Fear looks; faith jumps. Faith never fails to obtain its object. If I leave you as I found you, I am not God’s channel. I am not here to entertain you, but to get you to the place where you can laugh at the impossible.”

Faith gets us to the place where we laugh at the impossible because all things become possible for those who believe. (Mark 9:23)

Today I encourage you to doubt your doubts, to stay out of the details and to let God handle them, and to take hold of the promises in God’s word and what He has spoken and revealed to you. Then get up and stand! Stand and keep resolutely standing and declaring what He has said until you obtain what He has promised you.

We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised. (Hebrews 6:12)

Jesus asked the boy’s father, “How long has this been with him?” “From childhood,” he said. It often throws him into the fire or into the water, trying to kill him. If you can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.” If you can?” echoed Jesus. “All things are possible to him who believes!”…(Mark 9:21-23)

Prayer: Lord I choose to stand today. To stand and not be moved by what I see in the natural, but only by what you say and what I believe. Through faith and patience I inherit the promises today. In Jesus name Amen.

27 Feb – Stand against fear!

fear not

One of the biggest things that often comes against us in life is FEAR!

Fear of failure, fear of rejection, fear of being disappointed, fear of not being worthy, fear of our past, fear of our future. Fear of the “What if’s?”

Fear has been defined in an acrostic as False Evidence Appearing Real, and more often than not fear makes us think that the worst will happen!

Jesus said in John 10:10 “the devil comes to rob, kill and destroy, but I have come to give you abundant life”. We sometimes get a glimpse of that abundant life that Jesus wants to give us, and then too often it is stolen from us by the cares of life, our fears and worry.

That’s because the devil who is called the “father of lies” uses the natural emotion of fear against us to make us feel helpless in resisting him. He wants us to doubt God, and ourselves because it makes him appear stronger than he really is!

DEVIL’S TACTICS

The devil’s tactic is to make us feel like we are all alone. His objective is to warp our image of the world and ourselves and cause us to fear

He tries to make us believe we have to strive for success and achievement before we are acceptable.  He speaks the lie that we have to live in fear and intimidation, and all too often we listen.

We are all created in the image of God, and are precious in His sight. Our objective in the fight against fear is to grab hold of all that God has given us and to only say what the God says in His Word!

To know “who” we are in Jesus and “what He has done for us”.

Imagine if we only believed, and only said “what God said about us”. What if we only spoke what God said about others and life’s situations?

How different we would be!

God has so much to show us, for us to experience in Him, to “LIVEthis life He has given to each one of us. Let’s not let fear and intimidation blind us to how much God loves us and How much He is for us!

Today instead of living and speaking fear declare  what God says about you, and let that be “your” tactic to combat fear!

“I know the plans I have for you. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future declares the Lord.” Jeremiah 29:11

“What then shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also, along with Him, freely give us all things.” (Romans 8:31-32)

Prayer: Lord help me to not be afraid because you are with me and I am never lone. I stand against fear today and choose to believe what you say about my life and situation rather than the lies of the enemy and what I can only see in the natural.  In Jesus name Amen.

26 Feb – Glory in my pocket

glroy in my pocket

One of our daughter’s sang a song recently about having “glory in her pocket that she wasn’t going to keep hidden any more”. It was a song about all the things we are experiencing and know about Jesus and heaven that we aren’t to keep hidden and to ourselves any longer.

For too long when God does something amazing people have remained quiet. Just sharing our relationship and faith in Jesus has become something that many people shy away from and very rarely do. Add to that when heaven starts to impact earth in spectacular and unusual ways and many people freak out at the thought of telling others. But the truth is others need to hear, and people are far more open and hungry to learn and discover about Jesus and heavenly things than we give them credit for.

Recently I was sharing about some of the amazing things I have seen God do and I realised just how much I have witnessed and experienced. But I also unfortunately realised that I’ve far too often been quiet about it all. From gold dust appearing all over people’s bodies (see blog 25 Feb), limbs growing, tumours disappearing, a woman who had had a double mastectomy having her breasts grow back so that she now has cleavage, gold fillings appearing in peoples mouths, healings of every description, deaf ears opening, angels appearing in the room and then audibly being heard singing, the cloud of witnesses from heaven engaging with us (Hebrews 12:1), time miracles, g money, food, and petrol multiplying in cars…the list goes on.

The world is actually crying out to hear about the “glory in our pockets”, because they don’t have the answers, but Jesus does, and if we have experienced; heard or even just know about what He is doing or is capable of I think people need to hear and see about it. Isn’t it time for us who know Him to take the time to introduce Jesus to those who don’t yet.

Because He wants heaven and His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven and perhaps we have been far too hesitant and quiet about it all. All the things we and others like us have seen and heard are simply heaven impacting earth, and the more we share and the more we honour what God is releasing, the more He seems to do amongst us.

I encourage you today to thank God even for the smallest little miracle or answer to prayer, because it’s all “glory in our pockets”.  Heaven has a culture of honour and God responds to our thanks, praise and expectation of His goodness impacting our lives.

So choose to honour Him today for what He has done in your life and tell others about it. If you don’t have stories of your own share other peoples (Jesus will still get the praise) – Honour may seem like a small key but it opens big doors.

I will give thanks to you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.” (Psalm 9:1)

“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.” (Psalm 100:4)

Prayer: Lord thank you for your love and goodness to me today. I thank you for all that you have done and are doing in my life and I want to honour you for……. (Thank God for what he has personally done for you). Help me to share with others the “glory in my pocket” today. In Jesus name Amen.

25 Feb – Gold dust from heaven!

gold dust

Over the past few months we have been having gold sparkling dust appear on people whenever we gather together or are spending time with or talking about Jesus. Heaven has decided to come to earth in little bits of gold, sparkly glittery flecks that keeps appearing and can be visibly seen on people’s clothes, hands, faces, hair, and upon their arms and legs. Recently it’s been happening a lot and to more and more people, and not just when we are gathered together but also while people are at work, out for coffee, having a nap, or just sitting in their lounge rooms. Last week one of our daughters had so much gold dust on her body that when she stood up gold sparkly dust was clearly visible all over the seat where she had been sitting.

Some may ask what is the point of God sending gold sparkling dust, and what does it mean? But the effect this little bit of heaven is having on people is really quite wonderful. People who have never experienced or known Jesus before are realising He is real and interested in them; people who have been really struggling, feeling forgotten about, anxious or just need to know God cares about them have been blessed by Him coming and visiting them in this sparkly way. Some have been a little freaked out at first, some have cried, some have realised He is actually real for the first time, and some have been blown away by the fact that Jesus is interested in them enough to release a little bit of heaven literally upon them.

The fact is Jesus is fun; heaven is fun and He is for real. This gold sparkly dust I believe is a sign and a wonder and just the beginning of something remarkable that God is releasing on the earth. It’s a physical sign of heaven impacting earth and it’s just a “drop in the ocean” compared to what God has planned.

What started as a trickle of glory every now and then is becoming a stream and there is so much more! For when God starts to impact earth like He is everything starts to shift and change for the better. Sicknesses disappear, the miraculous transforms people’s lives, and bodies, minds, and hearts are healed, restored and made whole. Physical, real, visible things literally drop out of heaven, the angelic become known to us and the presence of God is felt in a tangible way as people realise we have access to heaven and heaven has access to us.

Today I encourage you to expect more. God is for real; heaven is real and we have through Jesus access to all the goodness, wonder, provision, joy and wonder of it all. He wants us to know Him and to show us things we have never even contemplated were possible before, and He wants to touch, heal and restore both our lives and the lives of a hurting world all around us.

Dare to ask; dare to believe in Jesus’ goodness, and dare to open up your heart and let Him in, because when you do the things of heaven will suddenly become very, very real, and I guarantee that will change your life forever.

“Then Moses said, “I pray you show me your glory!” (Exodus 33:18-33)

“Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us”. (Ephesians 3:20 Amplified Bible)

The LORD was going before them in a pillar of cloud by day to lead them on the way, and in a pillar of fire by night to give them light, that they might travel by day and by night.” (Exodus 13:21)

And there appeared to them tongues as of fire distributing themselves, and they rested on each one of them.” (Acts 2:3)

Here is a video of some gold sparkly dust that appeared on one of our daughters recently.

https://www.facebook.com/dayle.kinney/videos/10211528584189607/?t=36

Prayer: Lord I want to experience all the goodness and wonder of heaven. Today I put aside my preconceived ideas about how you do things and who you are, and I open up my life to you so that you can reveal all that you want to show me. Please forgive me where I have not expected anything of you, or have said that you were not real, or what is the point of heavenly things appearing, when the fact is you just want to love on people and to touch their hearts and bless their lives. So today I’m choosing to expect more and to experience heaven today. In Jesus name Amen.

24 Feb – Switch the light on!

light over darkness

One of the things we must come to grips with is that there is darkness, and I don’t mean the night time. It’s the darkness that attempts to snuff out anything good, loving, pure or holy in and around us. Darkness represents the evil that has crept into the world attempting to pollute anything that is good, leaving only doubt, struggle and fear in its wake. It wants to destroy and hinder those things that represent light and Jesus who is the giver of that light.

To be honest we need to wake up to the subtlety and seduction of the darkness because the devil who is the cause of this darkness is very clever at disguising and deceiving people as to the dangers of walking in or playing in the dark. He tries to make the dark look like fun by tempting our appetites and flesh with a quick fix, feel good, you’re in charge of your destiny, worry about the consequences later type mentality and lifestyle. Unfortunately none of that is true because even moments spent in the dark are designed to rob, kill and destroy from us. They rob us of our self respect, self worth, purity, healthy loving relationships and our hope, visions and dreams.

Thankfully to combat this darkness is Jesus who is described as the one whom, when people are walking in darkness they will see. “That they will see a great light, for the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness doesn’t extinguish the light” (John 1:5)

When we ask Jesus to be part of our lives something amazing happens. Where there was darkness inside of us; darkness that cultivated fear, doubts, deceitfulness, impurity, selfishness, lust and sin to govern our lives there is suddenly a light that gets switched on on the inside of us.

That light starts to shine in the dark and the darkness can’t overcome it, because the light is Jesus’ presence in our lives. He is the light of the world and where He is; where He is welcomed, where we make room for Him, where we listen and allow him to light the way and direct us on a new path, then the darkness cannot extinguish that light or the abundant overflowing life He brings.

The light of Jesus in our hearts wipes our slates clean and we are given a new life; a new beginning. Essentially we are a new creation, old things have past away, and everything has been made new. (2 Corinthians 5 :17)

Today I encourage you to choose and welcome Jesus’ light into your life. Whenever you are unsure of what to do, where to go, and what choices to make just choose what represents and is of the light. The light will shine a way and direct your thoughts, actions and behaviour, so that all you have to do is feed or think upon the light of Jesus, upon His words found in the bible, and His light within and all around you, instead of looking at or following the darkness. Choose light over darkness everyday and you will  know the way to go in life and be kept safe and secure.

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12)

Prayer: Lord please give me wisdom to know the difference between the light and the darkness, and to be aware of any of the devil’s traps to try and get me walking out of the light and in the darkness which only leads to loss and pain. I want to walk in your light today. In Jesus name Amen

23 Feb – Rhythms of grace

find the rythum

Do you ever wish life was simpler?  I often ponder on the simplicity of creation all around us. The sun comes up and goes down, the tides ebb and flow, in and out. The seasons change from summer, autumn, winter spring every year. Its like clockwork, effortless, and consistent.

Yet all this has been designed in infinite detail by God in the rhythm He has set. Its awesome in its simplicity.

Why then do we feel like life can be anything but simple? It  can instead can be very complicated, stressful and feel like we are going from one drama to the next. It can be chaotic!

God didn’t create our world or us to live or function in the chaos. He created perfection, but sin came in causing an element of chaos to be present.
That’s why we can be enjoying a gentle breeze and then experiencing a cyclone.

Too often our lifestyle can be in constant chaos. There is no rhythm, or gentle ebb and flow. We find ourselves trapped by our choices as we  succumb to the pressure and expectations around us. We too often live frantic, harried, stressed out, crazy lives.

So how do we change the rhythm? How do we get off the track we can find ourselves on?

Jesus revealed how to live in God’s rhythm – a rhythm of grace. He did 3 things:

He had times of solitude: He took time out to rest, to spend time alone with the Father. (Luke 6:12-13)

He had times of community: Jesus loved people and connecting with those around him. He shared with others around a meal, and spent time talking, laughing and enjoying others company.(Mark 2:15)

He had times of ministry: where He gave into the lives of others. He healed the sick, blessed, laughed, cried, and loved. (Matthew 8)

Today take some time out and find Jesus’ rhythm. He wants us to live free from the chaos. Look to Him and exchange your chaos for heavens song -for heavens rhythm. He’ll show you the way.

Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls”.(Matthew 11:28)
Prayer: Lord I want to live in your rhythms of grace. I exchange my pace for your peace, and your way instead of my way. Help me to take time to do that today. In Jesus name Amen.

22 Feb – Put wheels on your faith (increase your faith – pt 3)

faith pt 3

Just because people don’t believe or have difficulty comprehending the power, perfection and loving heart of God doesn’t mean these things are not true.
God won’t force us to believe what He says or what He has done, or even to walk in the awesome plan and purpose He uniquely created each of us for. That decision is entirely up to us.

But I for one want to grab hold of with both hands all for which He took hold of me. I don’t want to miss opportunities because I didn’t choose to listen or believe. What a waste when we can do, and be so much more.

However we must understand that in our walk of faith and believing that when God reveals things to us there is a process. First He speaks potential and revelation, and as a result a seed of what is possible and God’s plan for us is planted in our hearts and minds. Then we face the problem of realising we need more faith for it to come to pass, which leads us to searching out and receiving the promises in His Word, which fixes the problem. Then we receive the plan and strategy to move forward.

What comes next is what I term “putting wheels on our faith” or how to walk out the process stage

5 . Walking out the process stage – “The fight of faith”. When we receive a promise from God there is a process to be walked through, it doesn’t usually just happen.  The thinking “if it’s God’s will for my life it’ll just happen” has caused far too many of us to miss out.

There is battle going on and when we start to walk by faith and put our believing to work there is often opposition that will test our conviction and faith stance. This is where those “faith muscles” we’ve been building in knowing God and His Word come to the fore.

We have to stand up to any opposition, negativity, doubt and  unbelief. We fight with our faith and the knowledge of who we are in Jesus and the authority we have in Him, so that our promise comes to pass. God says we have overcome, and that we are more than conquerors. So we must not lie down but determine to get up; to stand in the revelation we have received, to take the promises in God’s word (which God says is our sword – Ephesians 6:17) and use it to push through any opposition.

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12)

“In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.” (Ephesians 6:17)

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come,  nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:37-38)

Continue to trust God; do what He tells you to do, and keep believing. The fulfilment of your promise is on the way.

Prayer: Lord help me to see who I am in you and to continue to stand on your promises for my breakthrough and to put “wheels on my faith” today. In Jesus name Amen

21 Feb – The answer to your problem is a promise! (increase your faith -pt 2)

god's promises

When we talk about what it means to go from faith to faith, it’s the process of how our faith brings the unseen into the seen.

Faith is having the confirmation or the title deed of things we hope for, and the conviction of their reality.  Faith perceives as real fact what is not yet revealed to the senses. It is a knowing, believing and trusting.

There is the potential and problem stage in the process of faith (see blog post 20 Feb).

Next is the:
3. Promise stage – a release of faith happens where the answer to the problem of needing more faith is revealed to you. The answer to our problem is a promise.
God meets our problem with a promise found in His word. This promises when we take hold of it releases faith. “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17).
It’s vitally important to seek God for His promise and word on the situation, for before you can trust and activate your faith you have to seek and listen for the promise for your particular problem, desire or need.

4. Plan stage – For every promise God has a strategy to “work out our faith”

“In the same way,  faith by itself,  if it is not accompanied by action, is dead” .(James 2:17)

Faith calls for action and obedience. We purposefully ask, “Lord what do you want me to do?” There is a process to faith, and breaking through from one level of faith to another as we believe God for each stage we are at.

This is where we get what I call “faith muscles”. We put our believing in God’s promises to work as we ask “What’s the next step?’  Then we do it.

God has a strategy and a plan so that we can both believe and receive. If we wait and listen He will literally give us an action plan for how to move forward.

Take time to discover God’s promise – it’s in His word, and then wait on Him to get divine wisdom and strategy. Don’t make the mistake of presuming or even instructing God on how it’s going to all happen. “Presumption is the mother of all stuff ups”. Instead wait on God, spend time looking up and then meditating on His promises, and you’ll find that He’ll lead you in the way you should go.

Prayer: Lord I thank you for the promises in your Word, which you are alert, active and watching over to perform.  Help me to wait and listen so that I walk in your plan and strategy and not my own. In Jesus name Amen.

20 Feb – Increasing your faith (Pt 1)

faith increase

“Faith does not refuse to look at the circumstances in front of us; faith looks beyond all difficulties to God and His promises”.

Everyone has a measure of faith, it is deposited within each of us so that we can come into a relationship with Jesus. But we also have the opportunity to grow that measure of faith. God wants us to live by faith; it pleases Him.

“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him”. (Hebrews 11:6)

Greatness does not depend on our position in life but upon our respect of the positive ideas that flow into our imagination. God reveals to us to believe that we are brilliant, creative and powerful. We get a mental picture and it can by the working of faith turn into a physical reality. When we believe in our ideas, and God’s ability to bring them to pass, faith will survive.

I’ve discovered there is a process to faith. We go from faith to faith.

1.Potential stage – God speaks; He may also use others around us to speak confirming words or possibility. A prophetic word, an image or idea, a dream planted. We don’t have to have the faith for it all to come to pass, just enough to receive the seed of an idea or dream.

Faith begins when we begin to believe the ideas God sends us. Beware however because faith can die at this potential stage unless we grab hold of that “little seed”, and it is planted firmly within us, by soaking it in the Word and promises of God.

2.Problem stage – This part of the faith walk is when we realise we need more faith to possess what has been planted in us.

Take heart though, a problem is a springboard to our breakthrough. Often we don’t seek to change without a crisis or problem. I have a saying that “God will allow us to be uncomfortable as a catalyst for change” We are primarily comfort seekers, and it’s often only when we are uncomfortable that we take steps to shift and grow. We are being set up for breakthrough!

“Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ”. (Romans 10:17)

God wants us to be in a continual position of believing Him for new things. Faith is not a stagnant thing. It’s always moving, from faith to faith. “The just (righteous) will live by faith” (Romans 1:17)

A few years ago we took a trip to Europe with five of our children. A dream we had held onto for many years, we’d prayed, given in faith, and held onto the promises of God and His desire to bless us. It was an amazing and very special time as a family for us. On boarding the flight home, I started to thank the Lord for our amazing time. Straight away I heard Him say, “That’s great, now where would you like to go next?” I was a little amazed. Here I was thanking God for the blessing I had just received, and He was already asking me how He could bless us again. The seed for our next big family adventure was planted.

Today ask yourself,” Have you any seeds of faith within you? Something you are believing God for? Has He spoken? Have you had a possibility, an idea, a dream planted within you? Go to God and His promises and seek Him for what He wants to release next in your life.

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see”. (Hebrews 11:1)

Prayer: Lord I thank you for your promises and your desire for me to grow from faith to faith.  Please plant in me a seed of an idea or vision so that I can begin to believe you for bigger and better things in my life. Plant in me your plans for my life. In Jesus Name Amen.
