It’s important to understand when we are believing God for something that it is often not more faith we need after we’ve asked God to move in our circumstances, but the power of patience. That’s because, without patience, we can stop the force of faith from working because of our negative speech, impatience and actions. We get impatient – and our emotions, instead of our spirits, start to dictate our actions, speech and believing.

There are times when our natural eyes can see only defeat and failure. It’s in this place that our faith must speak, and we put patience to work to undergird us so we can keep standing while we wait for things to happen.

“When you feel pressured or feel impatient, what is it that you speak?” For out of the mouth, the heart speaks.

Pressure will try and shake us loose of God’s Word and the hope it givesSatan loves to do everything he can to stir up things around us. He’ll try to get us into fear, and he’ll push all of “our buttons” in an attempt to get us to let go of what we believe for.

When pressure comes, that’s when you go back to the faith received from hearing and understanding God’s word and choose to stand on that word and stir up patience to undergird you so that you can persevere.

Patience will encourage you to stand and to “keep your eyes on what God has promised until it comes to pass”.

Today determine not to let go of what you are believing for and to have patience.

  • Base your faith in God’s word.
  • Think on and speak His promises.
  • Know and encourage yourself about all the times that He has shown Himself faithful in both yours and others lives.

Through faith and patience, we inherit the promises of God.” (Hebrews 6:12)

Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up” (Galatians 6:9).

Romans 10:8 says, “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach)

Prayer: Lord, by faith and patience, I inherit your promises. I’m choosing to remain constant and consistent as I believe your promises more than my circumstances. I ask you to continue to give me strength and patience to stand. In Jesus Name Amen.
