What and who we are in our sight makes all the difference. If we see ourselves as weak, broken, flawed, and powerless then for one, the devil will take delight in running all over us, and two, we will never step into all that we are capable of and called to become.
It's too easy to go through life believing what the world and its systems say about us, only ever looking and talking about the possibilities yet never taking the steps needed to enter and possess them.
Fortunately, God doesn't want us to miss out on the unique and special life that He has planned and created for us simply because we didn't discover who He made us. He is constantly trying to get our attention so that He can share His heart, and plans and encourage us to keep growing and developing. We are alive, and living things are made to grow and flourish where they are planted and that is what God has made us to do.
Today, if you are not feeling like you are growing, feeling unsure of the future, or have been seeing yourself as less than who God says you are, you can change that by:
1. Spending time with Jesus every day, and reading His Words in the Bible. His Word will encourage you, and tell you who God is and how He sees you.
2. Asking God what His plan and purposes are for your life. He puts dreams and abilities in our hearts and as we seek Him he will lead and guide us to fulfill the. He promises to perfect all that concerns you and is faithful to complete what He has started in you. (Psalm 138:8; Philippians 1:6)
3. Start to agree with what God says about you. Reject the negative words and images, and start to visualise and speak about yourself succeeding and being healthy, whole, and receiving answers to your prayers.
As you consistently do these things, it will start to build your faith, and expectations, and change how you see yourself and subsequently the way you think. (Romans 12:2)
Today I encourage you to continue to grow, run at your goals, pursue your dreams and live being the person God says you are; a conquering, victorious, gifted, healed, whole child of God with the power of heaven behind you.
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me". (Philippians 4:13)
"No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us." (Romans 8:37)
"For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." (Ephesians 2:10)
Prayer: Lord, help me to see myself as you see me. Let your Word renew and heal my heart and mind. Thank you that I am forgiven, healed, whole, victorious, and have all I need in you. I refuse to see myself as less than what you say I am any longer, and I'm taking steps to become all you have made me to be. In Jesus name. Amen.
