God’s been writing our story within His story since the beginning of time, and even if we are in a hurry, He doesn’t ever seem to be. He wants us to understand that with Him, there is always a purpose in the process.
Even if we don’t know what lies ahead, God does, and He promises He will walk right along beside us.
However, the unfolding of that story and any transformational change doesn’t usually occur only through our one-off decisions. It’s rather the consistent decisions we make that will make the greatest difference in our lives.
If we ask for Jesus’ help, He gives it, and when we abide in and focus our attention on Him and His ways, it causes us to become more like Him; constant, dependable and consistent. (John 8:31-32).
Imagine what you can accomplish and the type of person you will be in one, five or twenty years’ time as you choose to be more consistent and follow Jesus’ ways.
Whatever you are facing today, whatever your past looks like or how uncertain you are of the future, Jesus wants you to keep looking at Him, at the promises in His Word and the goals and dreams He has placed in your heart.
With Him by your side, you can do it! Even if you stumble or fall, you will be okay if you choose to fix your eyes and heart upon Jesus rather than any mess-ups or disappointments.
I encourage you to choose at least one area of your life in which you want to develop and become more consistent in today and going forward.
Jesus promises He will build a life for you little by little and piece by piece as you continue to be consistent with Him and follow through on what you know to be and do.
For “In consistency lies the power!”
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13)
“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” (Galatians 6:9)
“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.” (Proverbs 19:21)
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called to his purpose.” ((Romans 8:28)
Prayer: Lord, please help me be more consistent and harness the power that comes when I choose to daily and continually do those things you outline in your Word and that you lead me in, which will enable me to fulfil my purpose and passion in life. Thank you that when I am weak, you are strong in me and that I can do all things in you. In Jesus name Amen.
