God promises when we imagine that He “can [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us”. (Ephesians 3:20)
He wants to stimulate our imaginations, and when you start dealing with Him, be ready to start seeing and imagining big.
Because you can’t think too big for God. If we focus on His way of thinking and doing, all things are possible for those who believe.
“Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” (Philippians 4:8)
“I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfil His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.].” (Philippians 4:13)
So let yourself imagine right now, understanding that your imagination is a container that holds the plans of God for you.
Here are some thoughts to get you started imagining.
Ask yourself: What would you do if you had unlimited time, money, and resources?
What have you always wanted to do but have not done yet?
Are there any countries, places, or locations you want to visit?
What are your biggest goals and dreams?
What do you want to see in person?
What achievements do you want to have?
What experiences do you want to have/feel?
Are there any special moments you want to witness?
What activities or skills do you want to learn or try out?
What are the most important things you can ever do?
What would you like to say/do together with other people? People, you love? Family? Friends?
Are there any specific people you want to meet in person?
What do you want to achieve in the different areas: Social, Love, Family, Career, Finance, Health (Weight, Fitness level), and Spiritual?
What must you do to lead a life of the greatest meaning?
The Bible says, “Where there is no vision, the people perish”. (Proverbs 29:18) so today I encourage you to imagine and see big because God says He” ll do more!
Take out your pen and paper or open up a text document, and dream. I recommend including God in this list-making (he'll get you to dream bigger) and start writing everything on your heart and mind.
It won't cost you anything and will probably only take 30-60 minutes of your day. But you stand to gain significant clarity and focus on the plans and purposes God has for you and all that you want to experience in the precious gift that is your life! It's an invaluable exercise, and it's worth doing. Have fun as you are reminded and discover what is important so you can focus, pray and believe for them to come to pass.
Prayer: Jesus, please help me to imagine, dream and see your vision for my life. Take the limits off my life Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
