25 Dec - God With Us

After 24 hours of Christmas busyness, I'm tired tonight and have been wondering what on earth to post as I attempt to type something.

On reflection, the prevailing thought I keep on having is that God is with us – That's the massive, wild, and amazing truth about what we celebrate today. That on the first Christmas night, God made himself wholly accessible and available to us when He declared, "I am with you". It's the reason the angels sang out that they had tidings of great joy as they told of the birth of Jesus.

Jesus' birth heralded the truth that we are seen, loved, and not alone. Regardless of our circumstances, struggles, highs, and lows, Jesus is with us no matter what we may face. This means we don't need to face anything in just our strength, wisdom or understanding. Our limits come off, and seemingly impossible things become possibilities; closed doors have the potential to swing wide open, and we don't have to figure out everything on our own anymore.

Christmas time means many things to people, but I'm reminded tonight that today we have the opportunity to celebrate the truth that God is with us, for us, and will never leave us nor forsake us. And the more you think upon that, the better today and your future will look because if He is with us, then He is also for us, and all things become possible.

Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son. and they shall call his name Emmanuel (which means, God is with us".) (Matthew 1:22-23)

"What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31)

Prayer: Lord thank you that you are with me and I am never alone. Thank you for the chance to celebrate that truth today. In Jesus name Amen,
