25 Oct - Held Together When We Feel Broken

I remember the day I was thrown off a horse and ended up with a broken collarbone. It was one of those nasty breaks that just wouldn’t heal properly. After months of waiting, the specialist told me there was no change and I’d most likely need surgery. Sitting in the doctor’s office, I felt overwhelmed and a little scared. But I took a moment to pray and ask God for His help and healing.

As I prayed, I sensed God speaking to my heart, “It’s going to be fine.” I saw a picture in my mind of Jesus’ hands gently holding my bones together. The verse, “He is before all things, and in Him, all things hold together(Colossians 1:17) came to mind, and I felt a wave of peace wash over me. It was like God Himself was reassuring me that no matter what I faced, He was holding me together, not just physically but in every way.

If you’re facing something that feels impossible to fix, remember that God is the One who holds you together. His love and strength are more than enough to restore and renew you. Whatever brokenness you might be carrying, bring it to Him and trust that He’s at work.

Prayer: Lord, thank You that You hold all things together. Please help me trust in Your healing power and grace in the areas of my life that feel broken. I give it all to You, knowing that You are holding me every step of the way. In Jesus' name, Amen.
