Just like Lucy in the movie 50 First Dates each morning forgot her life, including all the good things, we also can sometimes suffer from "spiritual amnesia" and forget the goodness of God. Stress, delays, and frustrations can feel louder than His past faithfulness and we can forget! But God hasn’t changed.
Psalm 77:11 says, “I will remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, I will remember your wonders of old” (ESV). When we purposely choose to remember what God has already done, it lifts our faith and reminds our hearts that He is still moving, even if we can't see it yet.
Today, pause and remember. Replay your own “highlight reel” of His goodness. Because if He was faithful before, He’ll be faithful again.
Action Steps:
Write down 3 ways God has come through for you in the past.
Thank Him for each one.
Speak Psalm 77:11 aloud over your life today.
Think and Say: God’s goodness hasn’t changed. I choose to remember His faithfulness over my fear.
Bible Verse: “I will remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, I will remember your wonders of old.” (Psalm 77:11 ESV)
Prayer: Jesus, thank you for today, and that your mercies are new every morning. Please help me to remember all You’ve done for me. Thank you that my faith is being strengthened as I recall your goodness. I choose to trust You again today. In Jesus name Amen.
