To persevere through difficulties and achieve our goals and dreams will usually mean letting go of some of our issues and realising that regardless of our past, God promises He will work all things out together for our good when we trust and follow Him.
The ultimate source of encouragement, wisdom, and comfort I've found to help me in life is found in quieting my mind and heart to spend quality time with Jesus and read and think about His words in the Bible.
As I consistently spend time doing this, something happens. God's words become mine instead of the other random, negative, and fearful thoughts I can have, and His Word spoken out of my mouth carries creative power!
"Words are faith containers. They carry faith or fear, and they produce after their kind." The words and beliefs we speak program us for either success or defeat.
Today let God's Words become yours and challenge any thought, feeling, or situation that doesn't look or sound like Him. Renew your heart and mind with God's promises. Speak victory in the face of apparent defeat—abundance in the face of lack, and health and wholeness in the face of sickness and depression.
Here are some "God Words" phrased into things you can say that you might find helpful over our day.
"The Word of God renews my mind; therefore, I forbid any thoughts of failure, sickness, lack, and defeat to inhabit my mind." (Ephesians 4:23)
"I am delivered from the power and authority of darkness. I cast down reasonings and imaginations that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God, and I bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of God's Word." (2 Corinthians 10:3-5)
"Jesus is the Lord of my life. Sickness and disease have no power over me. I am forgiven and free from sin and guilt. I am dead to sin and alive unto righteousness." (Colossians 1:21,22)
"I am free from unforgiveness and strife. I forgive others as Jesus has forgiven me, for the life of God is shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Spirit." (Matthew 6:12; Romans 5:5)
"Jesus bore my sickness and carried my pain...For God sent His Word and healed me." (Psalm 10:20)
"The Lord causes my thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and so my plans are established and succeed." (Proverbs 16:3) (Charles Capps – God's Creative Power)
Prayer: Lord, I choose to think upon and speak your words today so that they then become my words, which are full of heaven's creative power. In Jesus name Amen.
