God calls you His Masterpiece, but it's important to consider that every masterpiece takes time, patience, perseverance and persistence to create.
Importantly in the midst of becoming this masterpiece, God doesn't ever want us to feel stuck or to get to the point where we start to believe that our hopes and dreams are impossible. He has a way through, a solution and the power needed to change any difficult or seemingly impossible situation.
God encourages us to persevere, which means not giving up and having the persistence, tenacity and effort required to keep believing even when it's hard.
He has a plan and has promised He will complete the good work He has begun in you until it is completed and that He will do exceedingly more than you can ask, think, pray, dream or imagine. (Eph 3:20)
One key is not to fall into the trap of judging your growth and achievements by the progress you make in one day, week or even month. It's wiser to have small goals and wins to spur you on.
"For I am confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will continue to perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus." (Philippians 1:6)
“The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever.”(Psalm 138:8)
Learning to persevere in life and our faith is an important part of living the life God has planned for us.
He doesn't give up, He remains faithful, and He always says keep going, keep running your race, keep believing and keep moving forward with me.
That's because He wants us to fulfil the purpose for which He made us so that we can live the full and overflowing life He has planned and desires for us. (John 10:10)
Whatever you face today, I encourage you to seek God for His wisdom. Clarify your dreams and goals and what God is saying to you, and take the time every day to set small goals that are achievable while also working on the bigger dreams in your heart. Continue to work on your skills, listen to Jesus, read and follow His Word, and know you will get there!
“Imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.” (Hebrews 6:12 NLT)
Prayer: Lord, thank you for being faithful and not giving up on me. Please help me to keep walking step by step with you, trusting that you will perfect what concerns me. In Jesus' name Amen.
