5 Dec - "You’re Worth Dying For—Live Like It!"

The other day, I was listening to a song that got me thinking. The thought was simple. "What if I lived my life like it was worth dying for?"

It hit me—Jesus sees me. He sees you. Not just who we are right now, but everything He designed us to be. He sees our hearts, our dreams, even our mistakes. He sees the plan for our lives and He chose to give up everything so we could live our lives to the fullest and free! (John 8:36 NIV)

That made me stop and ask myself: "Am I living in a way that reflects how much I mean to Him? Am I making the most of my time, my gifts, and the life He died to give me?" Do my thoughts about myself align with His and how He feels about Me?"

The Bible encourages us:

“Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” (Psalm 90:12, ESV)

• “Make the most of every opportunity… Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do.(Ephesians 5:16-17, NLT)

  • "As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love" (John 15:9 AMP)

It’s easy though to get caught up in the busyness of life. We juggle responsibilities, chase goals, and sometimes forget to pause and ask: Am I living the life Jesus envisioned when He gave everything for me?

Jesus gave up everything because he sees your life as a gift, so rather than wasting time thinking and believing thoughts that He would never think towards you, let that truth that you are deeply loved and seen give you the courage to live boldly, love deeply, and trust that your life can and does make a difference.

Focus on things that last—loving people, helping others, using your gifts to the best of your ability, being happy with who God has made you to be and following His plan for your life.

Let's not waste a single moment believing anything that Jesus doesn't about us. He believes you were worth dying for—and that makes your life priceless.

Prayer: Jesus, thank You for seeing me as worth dying for. Please help me to live every day with that in mind, and teach me to value the life You’ve given me and show me how I can love others the way You love me. In Jesus' Name Amen.
