Dreams are a gift from God. They inspire us, give us purpose, and often lead us into a deeper relationship with Him as we seek His guidance. Yet, many of us know the pain of dreams delayed, derailed, or seemingly out of reach. In these moments, it’s natural to wonder where we went wrong or question whether we heard from God correctly.
I’ve learned that delays and detours are an integral part of the process, and what God can use to shape us; teaching us perseverance, trust, and faith in His timing. The Bible reminds us that God works all things for our good. Even when we can’t see the full picture, He is intricately weaving every detail of our lives into His perfect plan.
Take heart: your dream is not over. It may look different than you expected, but with God, nothing is wasted. Reflect on the areas where you feel stuck or discouraged, and then consider the successes you’ve experienced. Write them down, pray over them, and ask God to show you what steps to take next.
Bible Verse:"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose." (Romans 8:28, NIV)
Action Steps:
Write down one area where you feel stuck and one area where you’ve experienced God’s blessings.
Pray for clarity and courage to take the next small step toward your dream.
Memorize Romans 8:28 and declare it over your situation when doubt arises.
Think and Say: God’s plans are good, and He is working in every detail of my life. I trust Him to guide me, even when I can’t see the way.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for working all things together for my good. Help me to trust Your timing and plan, even when it feels hard. Please show me what I can do today to move forward today in faith and give me the strength to persevere. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
